So the top find this season (from large scale manufacturers) is: the Holden ECO Peabody Jacket. If you wrote a list of what you'd want in a jacket, this one would most likely, fulfill it; and then some. The fabric, comprised of 55% Hemp and 45% Recycled Polyester, is thin and soft, but in a sturdy, robust kind of way. You know how the corners of velcro curl up? Not anymore, Holden tapered the corners. Big updraft of chilly wind? No longer, Holden has removable hip hugging insert. As you walk, the hood stays put, and natures sounds are not silenced by the movement of oneself. Impermeable to bitter winds, completely adjustable, and wonderfully Spring-time-able (has hidden underarm vents), this coat is it. Genius. This coat is perfect for any season, but especially important in winter.
Very hard to find, the ladies version is currently available from Ebay. And for the men, from Evo.
